Default Bearings to allow modern BB/Cranks?

Hi all,

I have a Yo! with a pressed bottom bracket BB. Currently, I've got a white industries set up - so theoretically I have two choices in bearings .

What I would like to know is if anyone has sourced bearings for either the stock press-fit or for the White Industries BB that would allow me to run an modern FSA or Shimano crankset.

I'd love to update my 1990's drivetrain, but nowadays Shimano et al make it a package deal... at least if you want it to work right.

And sure, I can make it work with the installed XT cranks, or with cook bros etc. But I would like to get away from the tapered spindle BB. It's just not as good a design as the modern splined ones.

Although no one has made a better frame than my Yo, other things HAVE improved over time!
