Does anyone know what the story is with the Monster?
I see a few in the Registry listed as '88 or '89 and there is an August '89 review in Bicycle Guide magazine. The review in '89 is for a Monster that is a rebadged Wicked with lower end components. It doesn't show up in a catalog until '92, this version is based on the Yo with a wishbone seat stays. I just picked up one of the early ones with a Wicked serial number. Any info/background would be appreciated. Thanks

I've got a Monster Fat that if my drug and alkyhol addled memory serves me right, I bought it in the summer of '87. Basicly a Wicked with Diacomp components.
When i bought mine, I built better wheels and just replaced the components with better ones as I broke them. About the only original stuff still on my bike is the brake levers. |
