Default Yo Eddy!! Serial #222Y09

I was curious if anyone knew exactly what year my Yo Eddy!! might be?? I was working at a shop in the early 90's when a customer traded it in for a Klein (he thought the Yo was too heavy!!). I think its a 90 or 91, but can't remember exactly. Any ideas?

Thank you!!

I'm no expert but there is a 1990 Yo Eddy listed on the mombat site with serial number 357Y09. I'd bet yours is a 1990 also.

Thumbs Up Thanks!

I thought it was a 1990 as well. I'll have to check out the Mombat site. Thanks for the reply!

Yup Y09 means Yo, 1990, 19". 1990 was the 1st year of the Yo.

Yos were not measured in inches but small medium and large.

Not entirely true. You are correct that they did refer to Yos as Small/Medium/Large, etc. but they also used there inch size in the serial # on the early Yos. My 1990 is 023Z07 which is a 17" (Medium). The serial number books have columns with check boxes indicating the inch sizes (last serial # digit) for the earlier Yos. In '92 (I beleive) they started using the S/M/L Letters within the serial number instead of the single digit inch sizes. Cheers, Jon
