Does anyone know the whereabouts of the bikes FCC made for Tomac when he was racing for Mongoose?
Were these frames the standard Fat Chance geometry, Mongoose, or custom for Tomac? I know FCC made frames for him early in his career, but have not heard anything about these frames as far as materials, geometry, etc. Seems like those would be the holy grail bikes for both Tomac and FAT fans.

If memory serves me correctly, the frames had custom geometry to John's specs. I believe we used our standard True Temper tubing and added custom gusset plates to each side of the head tube to down tube joints. The frames were just powder-coated black and Mongoose put their decals on them.
I don't know the whereabouts of any of them at this point. I think John broke one of them but honestly don't remember exactly. Regards Scott |
