Default BOI fork with no brake bosses?? Help identify

I picked up this Big One Inch Fork (and a NOS 1995/96 Team Yo Eddy in Harlequin Fade w/BOI, pics soon) over the weekend. The thing baffling me is there are NO brake attachment points on this fork. No post mount bosses, no hole drilled for a road caliper, no disc tabs. Can't see any signs that the bosses have been removed.

The dropouts are Ti G.P. Wilson, Ti steerer. Any ideas what happened here?

Thanks in advance!

I'd say you can blame it all on the Denver velo-swap.

It may have come from the Denver area, but it didn't come from Veloswap Actually, from a Ft Collins bike shop

Hm, maybe it made it to both places.

Sorry tho--I have no idea what the story would be on a brakeless mtb fork.

Yup, it sure did! I had it on display at Veloswap. Was that your post on MTBR? Nice stuff you picked up!

Does anyone have contact info for Chris or Wendyll? Maybe they have the answer to this mystery.

The MTBR thread shows the no-brake fork next to a black Yo with a fork that has brake bosses. Maybe original owner ordered a matching fork with no-brake attachments so that he could run the same frame as a fixie? All I can come up with...............
