Restoring my 89 wicked. I am using the Cooks 176mm cranks and there were non-threaded bearings used on a threaded BB. The bearings were damaged when I removed for paint. They have a Clip on the outer part of the bearing to prevent them from pushing into the BB. Any suggestions on a new set of bearings?

We have this discussion alot around here. See for example: http://www.fatcogs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3147
Your BB shouldn't be threaded. You absolutely sure it is? |

It appears the dust covers on the bearings were bent. Luckily I was able to re-work them and they spin real nice now. Now I have 2 questions:
1. what are these called 2. I need a new set of them (1 cracked) |
