Default How would you guys interpret serial #831?

Subject is a 1983 fat, fillet brazed team fork, all the usual period typical amenities.

Bike #831 or bike #1 in 1983

Default serial number

not sure if it helps, but my 82 has a four digit serial number. First Flight has an 83 Fat in their collection, do not recall the serial number. Not sure if I have ever seen a three digit serial number before, but we all know that consistency in this sort of thing was not necessarily the norm at FC. Certainly they could not have imagined that anyone would care about this 25 or 30 years after the fact
