I just purchased a Kooka ano-purple 26.6 post for my 92 Team Yo, obviously will need to be shimmed but Ive taken a look around and I dont see any manufacturers that have a shim for those specific sizes. Will any shim that spaces 2.8mm work?

26.6 is an odd size! I spaced up 27.2 IRD post to use on a Yo with no problem, but one thing to see is if the shim is still or flexible. Most have a slit, but if it isn't flexy enough to make it around your post you are out of luck, or if you was too big, if the slit was too small to let it clamp solidly.
I dunno, it would feel like a bodge. I'd find another post.
