I know it's posted somewhere deep in the bowels of Fat Cogs...
Is there a definitive way to decipher serial numbers on FAT products? I think it is worth revisiting for those who find it difficult to sift thru the millions of posts on the site... Thoughts? |

In the case of the one you were looking at:
520W09 = 520th (yearly total frames or of this model I'm not sure) Wicked 20-inch 1989 |

Can you tell the year for this: YO ML 1057?
I've been able to narrow it down to 1996, but would like confirmation. Thanks

No, once Fat moved to South Glens Falls NY the serial number scheme changed and the obvious date code appeared to go away.

so if I am reading mine right, 1051y1L. It is bike number 1051, y is for yo eddy, 91 is year. I don't 100% understand because mine is supposed to be a 21 or xl though I never really messured. It is bigger than the Balance AL 750 I had which was a 19.

the L in your serial number means that it is a size large
