head wound surfing forces me into this build. can't wear a helmet, can't ride either. may as well build up this wonderous Wicked!
would like thoughts on seat post clamp... i have tried the salsa and it sits too low. the bolt will not clear. please let me know if you have any ideas on where to go. proposed build info: 736W08 or 786W08 - paint is super shinny, tough to see in the reflection. Shimano M735 drivetrain. Shimano DX/Mavic 231 wheelset with early 7speed XT cassette. Topline cranks Spectre post Control Tech stem Bontrager Titec bar Shimano XT headset more to come |

a white turbo is awesome...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() you will fell the wicked a bit cramped at first. you come from a medium Yo and you surf, you have a big chest. If necessary use a 140mm stem on it. set the wicked as a happy all around machine: semi slicks, 2.0, fit her brilliantly. the front sret up, stem and bars, is crucial. BUild it asap!! search for BMX seat collars. in the last case go a machine shop and have them make a collar for you.

i think the white Turbo will look good with the white decals.
the stem should be 120ish. it might be a 130? have not measured in some time. tires right now are Timbuk II's. i could get some Wildgripper Sprints - they have a smooth center and beige sidewall. o.k. going to start looking for that seatclamp. Sette |

don't even waste your time w/ a 120 stem. 135 to begin with. old school geometry.
silver ritchey or black salsa or control tech. start w/ something cheap and ugly, experimenting size.

UPDATE:
build has come to a halt. the steer tube threads were really thrashed. so, we need to have those cleaned up. BB spindle, lock collars, and crank has been installed. |
