Melvin,

as we all know - you are the most knowledgable in all matter pertaining to Fat. to be honest i am not exactly sure of the blue color? i kinda poked around - but could not find the exact name. it is just a metallic blue. still has quite a bit of sparkle factor after all these years!

one of these days i will post my paint care techniques. let me know the color if you would please.

Default sapphire

I thought that the sapphire fade was blue to purple?

I'm pretty sure that it is in one of the catalogs.

i am pretty sure that the blue bike has no fade. according to the .de website i think the color is just Sapphire Blue. not the Sapphire Fade - which is indeed blue to purple.
