Wicked Lite serial number

Hi all,

I'm looking to pick up a Wicked Lite (seller doesn't know what year) but the serial number is, according to him, TL 16023

It's a Saratoga build and it should be a Wicked (got them eyelets on the rear dropout), but that S/N looks a bit funny?

Can anyone help shed a light on what year it might be? TIA!!!

Definitely a Fat, if that was a concern.

Saratoga #s are tough because they are Model/Size/Frame Number and don't have a date built into them. But yours is either a 1994 or 1995. I have no idea how many Wicked Lites they were selling - probably not a ton - but 023 makes me think it was probably 1994 frame.

Wicked Lites seem more prevalent than they really are. Apparently, towards the end of Somerville, any Wicked or Fat Chance or Team that went back to the factory for repairs/refinishing got the Wicked Lite decals. I bought a Team Comp that was decaled that way way ages ago.

I can confirm that. My Wicked Lite serial is "WL19041" - Wicked Lite, 19 inch, #041 - and I have no clue if its 94 or 95. They are effectively the same thing from all I can tell.
