Default Ti Fat Seat Post Diameter?

The Ringle seatpost on my Somerville built (92-93ish) Ti Fat blew up yesterday as I was just riding along (ain't that always the way). Luckily, I could keep the seat on and was able to salvage another couple of hours of sweet singletrack. I think that removal will result in complete destruction and I'm also thinking of getting a suspension post.

Bottom line (I don't have a set of calipers): Does anybody know the proper size for this bike? I saw 29.4 listed somewhere, but am looking for confirmation.

29.4 is correct. I replaced my Syncros with a Thomson in that size.
