Wicked in need of fork

I have a 1990 19" Wicked in need of a fork. I realize Waltworks could make something perfect for me, but I really just want to get something on there relatively cheaply. I can't afford the $250 for a custom job right now.

I'm planning on making this bike into my commuter bike - skinny tires, mostly pavement.

This thread has some clues as to fork specs:

I couldn't find any definitive fork specs, though. My best guess is I'm looking for something like:
395-405mm axle to crown length
45mm rake

I'm leaning towards the 395mm end of the spectrum. The 1 inch steerer is causing me fits. I'm going to be mostly riding this thing on pavement so I think a cyclocross fork might work. There are plenty of cyclocross forks with 1 inch steerers and canti brake bosses.

Here's a couple of forks I'm thinking about:

Surly Cross-Check (cyclocross fork) $94
400mm axle to crown
44mm rake

Tange Mountain $45
391 mm
45 mm

I'm also keeping tabs on ebay for something that might come up.
Anyone have any other suggestions/feedback?

Thanks,
James

the tange should work fine. wicked forks pop by.. i have one extra but it's from an 18in bike so steerer will be too short otherwise..
get the tange and ride it. first flight cycles also , see if they have a ritchey logic.
