Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to the forum, and this is my very first post. Was referred to your forum - as I am a Classic Bike Lover, AND I am looking to sell my beloved Fat Chance Yo Eddy. It is a later one, "made in Saratoga County NY". Original Green paint, never repainted. I first built up the bike with an all XT set-up, triple crank etc. Later moved those parts to another project ... And it has been my single-speed for the past few years.

Pictures show Frame with parts on it - but the sale is for the frame only.

Frame Only! Price = $1000.00

I will ship the frame - buyer pays the shipping, in addition to cost of frame.
Frame will ship from Stroudsburg PA, USA
Buyer can pick-up the frame, if they want to.

Interested? Please shoot me a private message.

The details:

The Seat Tube measures 20.5" [Center to Top]
Top Tube measures 23"
Mint condition or New Old Stock, it is NOT. I'd like to be clear that the bike has been enjoyed! The frame has a couple minor paint chips from the few stray pebbles flying up, riding the trails ... But has never been crashed, and has no dents, has never needed any repairs, there are not any structural issues. It rides straight and true, handles great, and is in fine shape. For the rider looking to ride and enjoy his or her Fat Chance Yo Eddy, this is a fine candidate.

"So why are you parting with it?" I am really tall, and believe it or not, need something bigger. And can't rationalize keeping a bike that is too small for me - simply for collecting something I always wanted as a kid, really into Mountain Bikes. I've been holding onto it for nostalgic reasons, and it's not practical. I'm not a hoarder.... and would like to see someone (a little shorter than myself) appreciate and enjoy this bike, for what it is.

Had trouble up-loading photos. Here are links to some:

Another Option

Just dawned on me, I have no use for 26" wheelsets...
Or the parts, currently hung on this frame...

For anyone interested:

Complete bike $1600.00 - Bike is built currently as a single-speed.

(with two wheel sets: one for geared bike, the other .. a single speed)

Wheel set #1 = Silver Shimano Deore XT hubs laced to Mavic X517 Rims (DT double butted spokes)

Wheel set #2 = Black Hubs, front a syncros, rear is a bolt-on flip-floping rear singles-speed or fixed-gear hub [I can not remember the manufacturer, but I went with something high-end] - laced to Black Bontrager Maverick Rims (DT single butted spokes)
Both wheel sets, laced/built by me.

Chris King headset
Amp Research Fork (Cool Odd-ball Suspension Fork)
Truvativ Stylo S.S. cranks (177 length)
Thomson Seat Post & Stem
Easton Monkey Bar - Handle Bars
Shimano LX V-Brakes
Cane Creek: Direct Curve, Brake Levers
Lock-On ODI grips.

I can look around for the Shimano front XT derailleur - If I still have it, it's yours...

You'd have a Yo Eddy, built as a Single Speed - all you'd need is pedals.
And an extra-light set of wheels for a geared-bike set-up, if you want to mod-it-out that way.

Yo Eddy !!!

Frame has been stripped of all parts present in the pictures.

Carl Schlemowitz from Vicious Cycles was looking/drooling over it.

It's in great shape, and a rare size for taller riders... and is STILL FOR SALE.

I can professionally pack and ship this frame anywhere, worldwide.

Catch it while you can!
