Do you need the old bearings?

If not, bash with hammer. Works for me every time!

Lay your frame on it's side with some cushioning support and gently tap out your spindle with a hammer. Once the spindle is free, use a long large flat bladed screwdriver and insert it through one bearing, placing the tip flat against the outer race and bb shell intersection on the opposite bearing. Gently tap the bearing, moving around the outer diameter, until the bearing falls out. Turn the frame over and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

Just remember, go slow and keep the flat blade on the metal race, not on the rubber shield! If done correctly, you will be able to use your bearings again.

cheers,
