1998 Yo! Eddy - Metallic Green

SOLD

After they made the move from Saratoga Springs NY to VT, I paid a few visits to the FAT CITY crew in the Stowe (Wendyll) / Burlington (Chris C.) area. While up on a visit during the ~1998 catalog shoot, I saw two bikes being photographed: both Yo! Eddys. One was metallic brown and the other was metallic green. I had to have the green one.

This bike, serial number YO M 2440, I’ve considered the favorite of my collection of bikes since that day (including two other Yo! models and a Chris Chance road frame). It has been the most treasured and guarded member, and completely off-limits to friends and kids. I admit, I am reticent about selling it - but recent medical challenges mean changes in priorities. After completing a modified ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) procedure, I now have donor vertebrae in my spine from C4-C7. They are completely fused together in a titanium cage with no flex, and thus I have limited up-and-down range of motion in my neck - completely incompatible with the long, sleek top tube and more aggressive riding position of this bike. As one could imagine, I also have the financial impacts of major surgery.

Asking price: $1500
Located in Northern Virginia.
