1994 Rhygin Ra

After several months of debating exactly what route I was going to take with my 1994 Rhygin, it is now finished. The only thing on the bike that is original from the 1996 build is the fork, brake levers and the peace sign brake cable hanger. Rhygin was another amazing Boston framemaker that went belly up. I purchased this instead of a Yo Eddy as it was a better technical single track bike. Glad I just picked up my first Yo though, as I always wanted one since I bought the Rhygin.

Anyway, more thoughts later. For now, some photos:

That is very nice. I haven't seen a painted Rhygin. I have a '98 Rhygin Stainless road bike, and I love it.

thanks! :D actually, I've never seen another Rhygin mountain bike in my neck of the woods, just road bikes. was on the rail trail (in Lexington) a few years back and a Rhygin roadie was coming the other way and we both screeched to a halt and chatted for a bit. also saw one like last year in front of the Trader Joe's in Arlington but didn't have the opportunity to stop. there's a Rhygin Columbus Metax road frame currently for sale on eBay, and I'm curious too see what it goes for. apparently, it had never been built up! I would love to bid on it...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320273434461&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:PIC&ih=011

Wow, beautiful. I'd love to have one of the painted Rhygin's. Reminds me of UMASS Amherst in the early 90's. I used to see a few in the area trails. Keep it forever or sell it to me... :p

this is the one bike I'll never, ever sell. it's just so much fun to ride. I hope my recently acquired Yo makes me feel the same way...
