Cool :)
I really like the glossy black paint. Nice parts choices too.

Little quibbles:
I think the Mission Control would look far better further slammed...tho I understand wanting higher bars.

And the Chris Chance sig decal is on the wrong chainstay....I thought until I saw that you had two (?).

In any case---sweet stealthy build!!

Thanks for the comments. Gil's decal set included 2 chainstay stickers so I put on both sides. This bike rides really nice. Almost everything is NOS. Super light.

I love glossy black ..although xtr m900 and klein mission on a '89 wicked is quite unusual but everything looks very harmonious.

Nadar you are right...

only the cool guys can do what this guy has done....

I will be putting on M900 on one of my wickeds, just to copy him.

nice ride!

Thanks for the nice comments TV and nader. I've had this bike since 1991 and it's always been a favorite. My goal was to restore it as a stealthy bike with some of the finest components available from that time period. It wasn't easy or cheap finding these parts (mostly NOS). It has been a long process but I think I nailed it. I just procured a nice Klein cro-mo fork that will be painted and installed in a few weeks. I'll post the updated photos when it's done.

Forks are back from powdercoating. Klein Cr-mo, with Spinner TFO dropouts.

Repaint ?

Beautiful bike! I've been debating restoring my 89 Wicked with the original green or white decals. The white looks great. Did you have to remove the BB for the repaint? Is the frame powder coated or regular paint? I am the original owner and the bike has been well used- I rotate between the fully rigid Fat and a 29er hard tail and enjoy them equally.

Thanks in advance for any info

RE: Repaint ?

Thanks for the nice comments. First I had the frame powder coated. Then I put the decals on. I finished it off with a clear coat over the decals. The bottom bracket was removed prior to paint.
