Okay.....

So I have the the NOS Yo fork factory painted (aqua fade).
And have decided to go ahead and try to have the Yo frame painted to match.

I have decided to go the predictable route. Utilizing as much turquise anodized bits that I humanly can (Where else besides an old Yeti can I get away with that?)

So far I have.....
  • Turquoise Grafton Cranks
  • A Pair of Ringle cages
  • Moby post.
  • THe obligatory NOS butterscotch Pscychos.
  • Turquoise Taperlite.
  • THe complete M900 drive train
  • The wheelset I will not disclose.
  • A White Flite (Although thinking about Honey Brooks)
  • NOS Tri-Aligns
  • and of course....no logo CK turquoise headset (That was a tough find)
Problem is....... I am hesitant to send the frame off to be painted?!?!?!?

Why you ask?

I REALLY need a one inch Turquoise Ringle Quill stem.

Can ya help a bruddar out?:kissyface

PLEASE DO NOT CHIME IN A SAY I HAVE ENOUGH TURQUOISE ALREADY.

I MUST HAVE MORE!

I struggled to find a 1" CK for my Aquafade, so i went black.I have managed to get a 1"turquoise Zooka though, have you considered getting any colour and get it anodised to match your turquoise ? may be a quicker option

Know what you mean.....
I was resigned to use my silver CK headset but then came across a recent cryptic Ebay auction advertising a one inch Judy XC equipped with England cartridges. The Seller was Including the headset which happened to be an origInal no logo turquoise version
I was surprised to fInd myself the high bIdder
(side note -thinking about having the crown and lowers also painted to match as a backup)

Hadn't considered annodizing. Maybe that could be a last resort option
Thanks for the suggestion though

My friend had his entire bike frame (specialized alluminum) annodized. They could not annodize his Rockshox SID lowers or steerer because they were not entirely alluminum. Not sure about the Judy. Paint or powder is always a good option.

Sorry....

Meant that I was considering having the Judy sent off with the frame to be paint matched with the aqua fade.

Another option to the Turquoise Ringle stem is painting an existing Salsa or Syncros Stem to match.

Thoughts?

When is too much Aqua Fade...Too much?
