SWAP- 1 1/8th inch BOI fork for 1 inch

Hi all,

I have a mint 1 1/8th BOI fork that I would like to swap for the same with a 1 inch steerer. It's the later suspension corrected length 420mm AtC. It's currently Green Metallica fade. It was sold to me a few years ago as NOS but on closer inspection it has had a wheel in the drop outs and has 5-6 small paint chips. It has an uncut threadless steerer at 240mm and has a star but fitted. It's not been used by me as I didn't find a late Yo to fit it to.

I'd like a good condition BOI fork with a one inch steerer, in exchange, paint colour unimportant.

I also have a Tange made Monster fork for sale, inch threadless steerer at 160mm long, in good condition. Paint has a few marks but cleans up well, decals and top caps are present and correct. Looking for £75 plus post.

Cheers
Si

I am interested in both,

I have a couple of 1 inch yo forks, one for a small. small medium 90mm headtube, one that is a BOI threadless that fits a medium which is 95mm to 98mm head tube

I have a 99 disc YO with an 1 1/8 headtube, that i need to add a disc tab to what ever fork i may get....

Well I can add a disc mount and hose guide to the 1 1/8th fork that i have here and remove the canti mounts if you want to do a deal on the medium threadless fork.

I finally got down the road and picked up my boxes of parts.

Here are a few shots of the fork I have to swap.

The monster fork is a little scruffier than I remember but still presentable. For a show queen it would need a light refurb. It also has two small dents in the underside of the segments which look to be the result of some bridging prior to my purchasing them. I doubt it has any bearing on the integrity of the fork. Anyway, I'll lower the price to just £40 or trade something sweet for my Yo Eddy build.

PM Sent Jon

PS I assume that's the '93 Yo you are rebuilding? How's it coming along?

Yeah it's progressing- slowly. I've been super busy at both work and home and those precious spare hours have been spent out riding. I acid dipped the frame to get the paint and rust off.....nothing too bad to report, lots of muck came out of the seat tube but no holes even after media blasting. There was a slight dent in the top tube which I silvered up. The canti mount has been repaired and I just need to find some brake studs. Next up is to give it another quick clean in the blasting cabinet before paint.

Parts collection is coming along nicely. Planning to build it up over the Christmas holidays.

Hey

I've got the fork on my Wicked. I think it's a BOI? Would defo be up for a swap as your Chameleon would be perfect on my NOS Yo!

Can send measurements etc if you're interested.

For what it is worth, that is a standard Yo fork and not a BOI. The blades are the fatter variety from what i can see....Also make sure you have the right A to C length - as the BOI i have is a shade longer (410mm)

That is one bitchin wicked I must say

Yes, loverly looking Wicked. I had one in that colour once. Could it be the same one??

Could you send me some measurements please? Have to agree, it looks like a Yo fork rather than a BOI. Hard to tell from a photo though. The tape measure will hold the answer.

Cheers for the compliments on the Wicked guys, really like it. Tad too much purple though so i've now got some more subtle cranks on there..

Looks like it is a Yo fork after all:

1 1/8 legs
410mm A-C
130mm Steerer.
