Well not all the bikes in the garage are American steel.
I have a thing for high quality Japanese bikes too.
This one is my wife's '87 MB-2 turned into a transportation bike. It was her off road bike until her Yo came along. The old school geometry and chainstay rollercams are much better suited for townie use.
It is a lock it to a post build: 1 x 7 with Deore cranks, thumbshifter, Cro-Moto bar, LX hubs, Raleigh Technium fork, Speedmax tires and full fenders.
A rack and some sort of basket/panniers/bags comes next, she wants to be able to ride to the farmers market on Saturdays but doesn't want to deal with pulling my trailer.
I took it for a post build spin that turned into a half hour ride, so I think that means it is a nice ride!
