Rear brake stud problem

Need some help, I'm building up a '96 Yo with M950 XTR v-brakes and have a problem with the length of the stud. As you can see in the pic, the rear brake stud has a shoulder that lengthens the stud such that the brake arm won't slide all the way onto the stud. The stud on the right is on a Judy SL.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

The V Brake shouldn't need to go all the way onto the stud. The first shoulder that the brake comes in contact with is the important one and you'll notice that the length of the stud to this shoulder is the same as your Judy. Just take a look at my 96 Buck and it's the same as yours.

Bingo. Thanks for the help, it didn't look right so I didn't want to force it.

Should be rolling this weekend!
