Newbie says thanks

Hi Steve,
Thanks very much for your help. I've only just joined this site, and it's nice to receive a welcome like that.
Pip.

I have a 1998/99 you might be interested in...do you have any Fat stuff to trade or will it be just cash?

Hi RobTu,
I would be cash, but I see that you are in the U.S. - I am in the U.K.
Shipping it over may possibly be too expensive?
Regards
Pip.

It depends...

If I was able to box it in two to three boxes, and send it via usps, it might not be all that expensive relatively speaking.

But perhaps you're right. What's the max you wanted to spend on shipping?

I think that I need to see if the bike is suitable first.
  • What size is the frame from centre of BB to seat post clamp bolt?
  • Is the frame M2 Aluminium?
  • What forks are fitted and what length from crown race to axle?
  • Has it still got the Strongarm series Crank?
  • Is it V-brake only? - this helps establish the year.
  • What colour is it or can I see a picture? - this could also narrow down the year.
Regards, Pip.

I think I need to know if you are even willing to pay for shipping first, then I would gladly find and list the answers to your bullets above. No disrespect intended...just don't see the point if you are not willing to pay for shipping.

But off the top of my head:
I know a bit about my stumpys...it is definitely an M2- the last year they made it in fact, which would be a 98/99 before they switched over to the M4.
The fork is a marzocchi bomber
The crankset has been upgraded to Race Face
No disc brake mounts, strictly V-brakes
Yellow with red accents...M2 with Max chain stays
It's either a 17" or 18"
