Hi - Just picked up a '96 (I think) Yo from a shop I used to work at, it's been hanging up in their basement for 15 years. It's a M/L in Harlequin Metallica (silver/charcoal). I am going to pick up a second Yo (M in Arrest Me Red) they have in a few weeks.
Looking for advice on what to do with the frames prior to building it up:
There is some surface rust at the edges of the headtube & bottom bracket, remove with scotchbrite pad? Protect with clear nailpolish? clear paint?
Has anyone clear coated a frame to protect paint/decals?
How should I apply the JP Weigle framesaver in the seat tube?
Any other tips/suggestions?
I'm guessing they are 1996 vintage based on 1" head tube, Saratoga built, the M/L has a 90mm head tube, color, & serial number YO M/L 1057.
Will post some pics when the sun comes out.
Thanks!
