here is my 1991 monster...

back from powdercoater

It started life pink, then previous owner decided it needed to be green...

originally thought i would want to go pink again but...

not the biggest fan of pepto

I decided on purple...(110 bucks with sandblast) www.prokoteindy.com

I have an email out to GIL for decals, but have gotten no response as of yet

will probably not build with sun tour, and will go with XTR

still early in the process so i will have some time to decide

When I was looking at buying your Monster earlier in the year, found the original company that made them, Got a price and everything, will try and dig out the email and will pm you the details

Would be more than happy to get pics if it doesn't work out

I've got Monster Decals still on sheets (but sorry not for sale). I can dig them up and see if I can scan them without ruining them. Can't recall the decal type and if I can remove the protective covering safely to scan.

If that helps anyone.

Well...

I put a headset and seatpost on the monster

Serial number 034M07

It went from original pink, to forest green, to now some form of curb feeler purple

It may now need doodle balls and a lift kit (but thats another story)

back on topic...

I am still trying to find decals, but am not sure that frankie green decals will jive with the color

I am wondering would standard FC decals also have been used in 1990?

I am thinking a white flavor of standard would look best...

still on track to build this out with Shimano XT goods (735 mechs, 732 brakes, 730 cranks, etc) subject to change
