Default 87 Fat Chance for sale

1987 Fat Chance, asking $500

16.5” Red/Yellow Fork

Rare survivor with all original components (except seat post, replaced with period correct Strong). California bike with very little use – minimal wear on rims. This was stored for the past 9 years prior to me owning it. A couple scratches from normal wear, bike was stripped down, cleaned, frame & fork waxed, JP Weigle Frame Saver in seat tube, bearings repacked. No dents or dings. Frame serial number 87023, all components date coded mid to late 1986.

Same looking bike as pictured in 1987 Fat Brochure

Component Highlights:
- Magura grips
- Specialized Ground Controls tires, 26 x 1.95
- Suntour XC Roller Cam rear brake
- Shimano Deore brakes/derailleurs/thumb shifters
- Shimano 600 headset & 6 speed freewheel

Cash / PayPal only please

Price does not include shipping (I charge actual Bike Flights cost)

Willing to drive 2 or 3 hours from Syracuse, NY (13041) to meet halfway

Let me know if you have any questions or want more pics.

Thanks for looking - Andy

Default interested

Andy,
Hello, what a beautiful bike. What size person fits a 16.5" inch frame? I am interested in this bike for my son. He is currently 5 feet tall. How much would it cost to hip to California?
thank you,
John

I thought so... I'll measure up my Kicker. It's small too, but very comfy. Which i like for not so though rides. I'll come back, anyhow.
