Hi All,
I'm the original owner of a 1986(?) Monster Fat, heavily modified after many years of use. I bought it at Twinbrook Cycles in Rockville MD way back when. At the time it was the most I'd ever spent on something without a motor and justified the price by saying it would last me forever and I wouldn't need another bike for many years.
Previously I'd had several early Schwinn MTBs , a couple of Specialized Stumpjumpers and a Cannondale SM600 with a 26" front wheel and 24" rear, which I still have too.
I'm looking forward to the group's wisdom to help keep me riding this bike for many years to come.
And if someone has a Slim Chance they'd like to sell, let me know, then I could have a matched set.

nice bike...is that a beta?

The Fat is cool too :)

oops, sorry, haven't been to this site for a while.

Yeah, that's a '97 Beta Techno. I've also got a couple Bultaco Sherpa T's kicking around, two from the '70s and a '68.
