The birth of a legend!

Thee are even more connections Ted Inglehart, Ted Wojeck, & Mike Asprunger were intertwined into the previous mentioned builders too. It is a very small community in New England for the frame builders who cam out of the mid to late 70's. And Somerville was the place to be in the mid to late 80's. Fridays at noon most of the Somerville crews could be found in Saugus for the infamous lurch ride. Most every big wig designer and builder was there religiously for the weekly show, gab, ride and feast. A lot go designers died on those rides some not even let the lot.

A few notables that survived the Friday rides Offroad suspension stems, front suspension specific geometry for Fat and Merlin, read single pivot suspension by the big three in NE, rear dual pivot suspension from Fat and Merlin, tons of tire designs, several rim designs, a whole group of components from Sun Tour, Slingshot bicycles ( though several were broken first)

A few not so notables that were show to be dangerous or just poorly designed Isolator hubs, Ringle original Ti squeres, (basically a one sided wing nut) bonded AL MTB frames.
