Germany was a huge market for fat city. Not sure why.

In the early 1990's there was a huge market for US mt. bike stuff in England and Germany. I worked/rode for a company that was selling a ton of stuff (relative to the company) through English magazine ads.
For companies like Fat City a huge market was opened. However - there were troubles getting getting through the system for the smaller guys. Dealing with the middle men over there turned bad for several people.
